Khalid: “DSV entered into a contract with well-known forklift specialist Jungheinrich. The implementation of a new machine fleet with specialised forklift trucks also required adapting the evenness of the floor of our warehouses to the manufacturer’s requirements for maximum machine yield. We were therefore delighted to welcome the people from AlphaPlan. They helped us prepare and carry out the necessary grinding work in an incredibly professional manner.”
“I am really a big fan of AlphaPlan’s approach. Right from when we first met Laura Kunnen of AlphaPlan, it was clear that this was more than just a sales pitch. We were given clear information about the work that would be carried out and how everything would be done. From then on, the whole project proceeded extremely efficiently and punctually. AlphaPlan shipped the necessary machinery and materials to South Africa and also sent an experienced team of staff to our logistics centre in Durban. Before the machines had even arrived, we received an initial visit from an experienced AlphaPlan employee. He came with us to manage all preparations and went over all the possible obstacles in an extremely structured way. We do experience power cuts from time to time. As these could compromise grinding operations, everything was prepared to arrange for a generator. All risk factors were thus taken into account so that the work could start optimally after the machines arrived.”
“The work itself took about eight weeks. AlphaPlan’s people guaranteed a dust-free working environment as well as on-time completion. All the promises they made, they also kept. Even though they had to work through some weekends, all the grinding work was completed on time and according to plan. Once the 3,400 square metres of floors had been polished ultra-flat, staff still took time for an extensive testing procedure. After that was completed, we also received a certificate confirming the ultra-flatness.”
